The show opened with clips of what had happened previously on Impact Wrestling. Highlights being: Abyss going missing, AJ’s secret, the question of ‘who is up as leader of the Selfish Generation?’ and the road to Slammiversary X.

The show opened with Ref, Earl Hebner knocking on a door to collect the World Heavyweight Championship title belt from Bobby Roode so that it could be hung up in the air ready for tonight’s main event. Still annoyed at Hulk Hogan for allowing RVD to pick the stipulation for his title shot, Roode rambled on at Earl and asked why Hogan himself didn’t go to collect his belt for the match which he didn’t want. He handed the belt over to Hebner and told him to go hang it up before stating that he’ll have it back real soon.

The ‘go home’ show before we see Sacrifice on May 16th 2012 opened with a recap of Rob Van Dam and Bobby Roode picking each other’s opponents last week. We saw highlights from both of their matches including Roode hitting Hardy with his belt during the Hardy vs. RVD match.

It’s Pay per View time again so here are my predictions for this Sunday’s TNA Sacrifice which we will see here in the UK on Wednesday 16th May 2012.

The show opened with the Open Fight Night (OFN) promo being played as the rules of the new monthly show were explained. See my explanation here if you are not familiar with the rules already.
Hulk Hogan spoke to some of the current champions backstage and welcomed them to OFN. With the exception of Magnus and Samoa Joe, who don’t seem too fussed, the champions don’t seem very pleased that they may have to fight tonight.

Here, in the first Impact Wrestling episode after Lockdown we saw a recap of the Pay per View which included images and video clips from the Main Event between Bobby Roode and James Storm followed by a brief clip of Storm from after the match where he said that he just wants to be with his family.
Roode was the first person on the roster to make an entrance in to the Impact Zone and he had no security with him. That’s not the only thing he didn’t have either; he’s done a Kaz and had his trademark long hair chopped off. Sporting a plaster on his forehead, Roode hobbled down the ramp and in to the ring, selling his injuries.
The show opens and we see that we have Jeremy Borash and Eric Bischoff on commentary. As usual they announce what is going to happen throughout the show and tell us that a TV Championship match is up first.
